Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for a newly fabricated shell weld, covering a total length of 80 meters. The inspection was carried out using two methods: Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
Liquid Penetrant Testing was used to detect any surface defects and root welds such as cracks , pinhole or porosity.
Ultrasonic Testing was conducted to identify internal defects within the welds.

Ultrasonic testing (UT) is a non-destructive testing (NDT) method widely used to detect disbonding in bearing pads.
Ultrasonic testing plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and longevity of tilting pad journal and Thrust bearings in gas turbines. By detecting early signs of disbonding, it allows for timely maintenance and enhances overall system efficiency.

Magnetic particle testing (MPT) is a non-destructive testing (NDT) method used to detect surface and near-surface defects in ferromagnetic materials. It is commonly applied to Boilers, Pressure vessel and gas storage tanks to ensure structural integrity and safety.

Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging (UTG) is a non-destructive testing (NDT) method used to measure the remaining wall thickness of fuel distribution pipelines.
It plays a crucial role in assessing pipeline integrity, detecting corrosion, and preventing leaks or failures. By utilizing high-frequency sound waves, UTG provides accurate thickness measurements without requiring access to both sides of the pipe

Ultrasonic testing (UT) is a reliable method for detecting internal material inclusions. High-frequency sound waves are used to penetrate the material, and the reflections and scattering of these waves indicate the presence and location of flaws, including inclusions and crack.
This nondestructive testing (NDT) method is widely used in various industries to ensure material integrity and identify potential weaknesses.
